Bio

Luca Pignatelli (born 1962) Milan, Italy.

The son of Ercole, a painter and sculptor much appreciated by men of letters and poets such as Luigi Carluccio and Raffaele Carrieri, he inherited the passion and the craft of painting from his father.

After studying Architecture at the Politecnico in Milan, in 1986 he moved to New York, where he lived and studied for six months. His approach to the world of images came about through architecture, when he realized the analogy between architectonic composition and painting, giving rise to a series of landscapes characterized by the vision of a poetically menaced world.
