Shepard Fairey Mural 2010 and Art Basel Mural Fest 2008
Miami is well known as THE MAGIC CITY because of it’s capacity to bring everything back up and running, after a hurricaine; the cycle would be deconstruction - construction, there is also the human error and negativity implied into some building destruction, such as the Shepard Fairey mural that was put up at the Dorissa building during BASEL 2008 as part of the Mural’s Fest, we enjoyed every minute of the overwellming creative energy that took the streets of Wynwood on a large scale for the first time. Darin Bischof, Founder and Director of Primary Flight was in charge of putting together the Mural Fest 2008.

The huge Shepard Fairey mural took half of the front facade of the building, a true jewel. that later ended up being partially destroyed and vandalized. Rendering a true homage to the Magic City, Shepard Fairey has replaced the mural on a noble gesture of collaboration to enhance art spaces and neighboorhods in the area.
